Being empathic and highly sensitive is a gift that we can use to connect to others, explore our world, and thrive in our environments. It is the overwhelming energy and not knowing how to create boundaries around it, or having all the tools which can make it feel like a curse! It does not have to be that way. It is all about learning to work with the gift. Think about a very talented musician for a moment. They need to know several things to work with their gift. They need to understand how to take care of their bodies and minds, when to practice and when to take breaks, how to practice, what and where to practice, to get centered before they perform, and they do this to be able to play at their best capacity. They can be incredibly talented but if they never pick up the instrument would that talent help them develop?  Very much like the musician, we must learn to work with our gift, practice it, figure out what works, what doesn’t, and how and when to use certain tools and the best ways to take care of ourselves mind body and soul. Learning and practicing energy management skills particularly geared for Empathic and Highly sensitive individuals can make all the difference. The ability to stay in your own energy, feel centered and grounded, have energetic boundaries without feeling like you have to hide, feeling like you can grow and move forward in all your goals to thrive in any environment are the goals of developing energy management and self-care tools.
